ATM Terms & Conditions

  1. Cash Withdrawals and Fast Cash:
    You can withdraw cash from any ATM subject to the available balance in your account or the available overdraft limit sanctioned. ATM cash withdrawals are subject to fixed drawing limits and / or fixed number of transactions per day.
  2. Balance Enquiry:
    You can check your account balances on the ATM. account.
  3. Mini Statement:
    Requisition for a statement with a limited (latest) number of transactions of the ATM account when online.
  4. Fund Transfer:
    If you have previously selected the funds transfer option for your account, you can transfer funds between your primary account to and your secondary account, subject to the available balance.
  5. Deposit of cash or cheques:
    At select ATMs of Dhanlaxmi Bank, you can deposit cash or cheques into your primary bank account.

The Bank reserves the right to withdraw any or all of these facilities listed above without prior notice and without assigning any reason thereof. It also reserves the right to add any facility that it decides to provide from time to time.

With Mobile Banking, you can conduct financial and non financial transactions securely. From making fund transfers to checking your account information, Mobile Banking allows you to bank from anywhere at any time.

The Mobile Banking facility is currently available only to Retail Banking customers having Savings Account (Individual) or/and Current Account (Individual) and ATM/Debit Card.

The following retail customers (Individual) with below mode of operations can use the Mobile Banking facility.

  • Single (Sole owner)
  • Joint (Either or Survivor)
  • Joint (Anyone or Survivor)

This facility is not available for the following customers:

  • Non-ATM/Debit Card holders (Individual Customers)
  • Non-Individual Customers
  • Minor Account Holders
  • JAO (Joint And Others) and JAF (Joint And First) joint account type holders
  • Other than First Account Holders

Fund Transfer transaction is allowed only in INR currency. Cross Currency transactions are not allowed.

Registration, Application Download and Login:

Registration Process:

  • The customer needs to submit the physical application form at any Dhanlaxmi Bank branch to avail the mobile banking service. This facility shall be enabled for the registered mobile number only.
  • User ID (Cusomer ID) along with Mobile Banking application download link will be sent to the customer via SMS after the mobile banking registration is complete.
  • Customer needs to click on “First time user” link to activate mobile banking.
  • Customer has to provide his User ID, Card type, ATM/Debit Card (last 6 digits), ATM PIN and mobile number (with country code) for activation of the Mobile Baking service and generate MPIN. One Time Passwod (OTP - Flash) is being used as additional authentication during MPIN generation.

Login and Transaction:

  • Customer can login to the application through mobile browser via URL: http://m.dhanbank.com OR Java Application *
  • The Customer will be able to login with User ID and MPIN (Mobile Baking PIN)
  • The Customer will be able to view account information after login into the application.
  • OTP will be sent to registered mobile number as an additional authentication for each financial transaction, Payee Addition and other critical transactions.

* Download the application:

  • The customer can send a SMS ‘DLBMOBILE’ to 5676751 to download the application. In response, a URL will be sent to the customer’s mobile inbox as SMS. Customer can click on the same and download the application. GPRS is required for this facility.
  • Alternatively the customer can click here to download the application on their Laptop/PC and transfer the same to his/her mobile via Data Cable, Bluetooth or Infrared option from their Laptop/PC.

The Mobile Banking application will work on both GSM and CDMA networks. The Mobile Banking application works in GPRS modes as of now. The application shall have enhanced security features; a few of them are given below:

  • Secured login in the application using MPIN (Mobile Banking PIN) along with the Customer ID.
  • 2nd factor of authentication (One Time Password in form of Flash SMS)

Technology:

The following technology is used for banking via mobile

  • Java based mobile banking application (J2ME) for GSM (GPRS is required)
  • Browser based mobile banking for GSM and CDMA (GPRS is required)

Other Mobile Banking Related Request:

  • Mobile Number change can be requested through physical form by visiting the nearest Dhanlaxmi Bank branch.
  • Customer can contact the call centre or write to customer care through registered email id or visit the nearest Dhanlaxmi Bank branch for Blocking / De-Activating the mobile service.
  • Re-Activation can be done by entering the Cust ID, Card Type, Last 6 digits of Mobile Number, ATM PIN and Mobile Number in Re-Activation (Forgot MPIN) option in the application.
  • Un-Blocking will be done via request from the customer from his/her registered email id or physical form submission at the branch. Then the customer needs to use Re-Activation (Forgot MPIN) option of the application to re-activate his mobile banking access.
  • De-Registration will be done based on physical application form submitted at the Branch.
  • Linking or De-linking of accounts can be requested via physical form by visiting the nearest branch.

Activation

You can activate the Dhanam SMS@mobile service from your personal mobile phone. (It should be the same mobile phone number that is given when you submit the application for registration). You are required to remember your customer ID as you will need this when sending any SMS for any enquiry. Once your Mobile Banking SMS Pull Service is activated, you can ask for any of the following listed below by sending a message to 56161 with the code specific to the enquiry and your customer ID stated in the message.

Dhanam ALERT@MOBILE - mobile banking alert services

Credit alert

  • Credit transaction details will be sent to your mobile phone whenever any credit transaction has been made you.
  • Additional parameters can be set for credit alerts, if any credits more than the mentioned amount are made. (the minimum transaction value for which alerts will be received is fixed at Rs.2,000).

The message format is as follows:

For example, if an amount of Rs. 25,000 has been credited to your account on 14 September 2007 the SMS you receive will read as -. Dhanlaxmi bank- inr 25000.00 has been credited to your a/c 0001001000000001 on 14-sep-07 with the narration "payout from: 0001001000000002”. Available balance inr xxxxx.xx.

Debit alert

  • Debit transaction details will be sent to your mobile phone whenever any debit transaction has been made by you.
  • Additional parameters can be set for debit alerts, if any debits more than the mentioned amount are made (the minimum transaction value of alerts is fixed at Rs.2,000).
  • The message format is as follows:

For example, if an amount of Rs. 2,000 has been debited to your account on 14 September 2007 the SMS you receive will read as - Dhanlaxmi bank- inr 2000.00 has been debited to your a/c 0001001000000001 on 14-sep-07 with the narration "amt trf jose / tsr". Available balance inr xxxxx.xx.

SMS alerts for transactions made will be sent at intervals of 15 minutes and each alert will mention the available balance in the account. If multiple transactions have been made from the account within the 15 minute interval then the SMS alerts for all transactions will be received at the end of the 15 minute interval. However, the balance amount in the account, mentioned in all the SMS alerts, will be as at the end of the 15 minute interval.

For example: if a transaction is made at 3 pm, then the alert for that transaction stating the available balance will be received at 3.15 pm. Even if multiple transactions have been made between 3 pm and 3:15pm, the alerts for each transaction will be received at 3.15 pm stating the available balance as at 3.15 pm for each SMS.

    b) Should you subsequently recover the Debit Card, it cannot be used. Please destroy the Debit Card by cutting it into several pieces through the magnetic strip.

Eligibility

  • Individual account holders and sole proprietorship concerns are eligible for this facility.
    NRI: Holders of NRE savings and current accounts are also eligible for the Debit Card. A minor, or an account in which a minor is a joint account holder (joint operation), is not eligible for a Debit Card. Joint Accounts with joint operations are not eligible for a ATM/Debit Card since operations are Restricted to account holders with joint signatures. Debit Card will not be issued to other entities including partnership firms, companies, trusts, societies etc.

How to apply for the Debit Card

  • New Customers If you do not have a banking relationship with Dhanlaxmi Bank, you will need to open a savings account with Dhanlaxmi Bank. Please visit our nearest branch to apply for savings account.
  • Existing Customers If you already have an Dhanlaxmi Bank Account, download the Visa International Debit Card Application Form from the website.

Dos & Don'ts with your Debit Card

The Dos:
  • Sign on the signature panel on your Debit card immediately upon receipt of your Card.
  • Protect the magnetic strip on the reverse of the card from exposure to direct sunlight, magnets, and scratches, as it contains important information about your card.
  • Keep a photocopy of the front & back of your card and quote your Debit card number to the Bank in all your communications.
  • Keep your ATM PIN a secret to prevent any misuse of your Debit Card.
  • In case your card is stolen/ misplaced, call Dhanlaxmi Bank Customer Service number provided at the back of the card, to inform us about the same.
  • Keep your charge slips safe, to tally them against your Billing Statement
  • In case you need your Debit Card to be re-issued or terminated, please send in your request in writing to the Dhanlaxmi Bank branch where you have your account.
  • Upon Debit Card expiry or closure of your account, please cut your Debit Card into several pieces through the magnetic strip to prevent any misuse.
  • If your Debit Card is lost/stolen, or if you suspect that your Debit Card has been used fraudulently, call the Customer Service Number at 1800-425-1747, immediately to report the loss of your card.

The Don’ts:

  • Never keep a copy of your PIN in your wallet and never write your PIN number on your Debit Card.
  • Do not leave your Debit card unattended. The card can be misused easily.
  • It should never be surrendered to anyone other than a designated Bank Officer at a Dhanlaxmi Bank branch and that too only after cutting it into several pieces through the magnetic strip
  • Never reveal or surrender your personal identification number (PIN) to anyone. Please destroy all evidence of the PIN after memorizing it.
  • Always ensure that the Debit card is used in your presence when transacting at merchant establishments. Never sign an incomplete sales slip
  • Do not attempt to use your Debit card at merchant establishments that do not possess VISA Electron Point-of Sale swipe terminals
  • Do not attempt to use your Debit card for making purchases via Telephone/mail or in any other 'card not present' situation.

Do not attempt to use your Debit card for Internet transactions at it is not supported presently.

  • What is a Debit Card?
    A Debit Card gives you online access to your bank account. The Dhanlaxmi Bank International Debit Card allows you to purchase goods at Merchant Establishments and also gives you the freedom to withdraw cash from ATMs in India and abroad.

  • What is the difference between a Debit Card and a Credit Card?
    A Debit Card is a Buy Now, Pay Now card while a Credit Card is a Buy Now Pay Later card,
    Therefore, with a Debit Card you don’t have to pay at the end of each month and hence, no interest is charged. A Debit Card gives you all the conveniences of a Credit Card and helps you regulate your spending.
     
  • What is the mode of payment for a Debit Card?
    There is no monthly outstanding in the case of a Debit Card. Your account will be instantly debited to the extent of purchases made or the amount withdrawn from ATMs on the Debit Card.
     
  • What are the benefits of being a Debit Cardholder?
    The main benefit of being a Debit Cardholder is that you enjoy unparalleled access to your account wherever you want, wherever you go. Besides, you can control your finances since the balance in your account determines your spending limit.
     
  • Where can I use my Debit Card?
    You can use your Dhanlaxmi Bank International Debit Card at All Dhanlaxmi Bank ATMs and all VISA/PLUS & other network (Cashtree, Cashnet, NFS) ATMs
     
  • Is my Debit card activated automatically for doing a purchase transaction?
    Your Debit card needs to be activated for a Purchase transaction at a POS terminal by first doing a successful ATM transaction at any of the Dhanlaxmi Bank ATMs or partner network ATMs.
     
  • What are the precautions to be taken while using an ATM?
    The following precautions are to be taken while using an ATM:
    • Be aware of your surroundings, particularly at night. If you observe or sense suspicious persons or circumstances do not use the machine at that time.
    • Be careful that no one can see you enter your PIN at the ATM. Use your body to shield the ATM keyboard as you enter your PIN.
    • Follow the instructions on the display screen
    • Keep your account information confidential; always take your receipts or transaction records with you.
    • Never force your card into the card slot.
    • Do not be in a hurry during the transaction and carefully secure your card and cash in your wallet, handbag or pocket before leaving the ATM.
    • Make sure you collect your card after the transaction, along with the receipts.
       
  • How much can you withdraw from the ATM per day?
    The withdrawal limit per day from an ATM depends upon the deposit product chosen by you. Please get in touch with your branch for further details in this regard.
     
  • What will happen if you enter the wrong PIN?
    If you enter the incorrect PIN number three times in succession your card will be ‘locked’. It will then be unlocked after 24 hours. Once your card has been unlocked you can use it by entering the correct PIN, if at this time you enter the wrong PIN it will blocked again for the whole day. You can try again next day with the correct PIN. You will not be able to use the card on POS till the time there is no successful transaction on ATM with your card
     
  • What should you do if you forget your PIN?
    You are required to contact your branch with a written application so that they can raise a request for new PIN, which will be delivered to your communication address.
     
  • What is the procedure, if the ATM retains your card?
    This may happen only in case of ATMs with motorized card readers and it will happen only due to some problem with the hardware, power related issues, exceeded wrong pin limit, lost card (if reported already and noted) and expired cards, etc. If your card is retained at any ATM, please contact the Customer Service Phone Banking unit on the toll free number 1800-425-1747 or contact your branch to hot list the card and submit the required details to collect the card/further procedures.
     
  • How do you choose your PIN?
    It is very important to memorize your PIN .You should choose four numbers that are easy for you to remember but hard for someone else to figure out .You should always keep your PIN a secret.
     
  • What you have to do if your ATM or Debit card is lost or stolen?
    Immediately contact the Customer Service Phone Banking unit on the toll free number 1800-425-1747 or notify your bank followed by a confirmation letter in writing. You will be required to fill in a fresh application form for a duplicate card.
     
  • What you should do, if the transactions are not processed by the ATM?
    Please see the error message and contact the Customer Service Phone Banking unit on the toll free number 1800-425-1747 or make a note of the details in the complaint register provided at the ATM centre or visit nearest branch. Please note that oral complaints should be followed and confirmed by written and signed letters for validation. While making the compliant please give your name, card number, time of the transaction and error message. Incomplete complaints will not be processed.
     
  • What you should do, when cash is not dispensed, but account is debited while doing cash transaction through ATM?
    Normally, the amount will be reversed automatically. Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS)

Real Time Gross Transfer is used for customer transactions for Rs. 2 laks and above anywhere within India. It is a very secure transfer service and the settlement of the transaction is done immediately when the transaction has been executed.

  • RTGS is an electronic payment system, which provides online settlement of payments between financial institutions. Payment instructions between banks are processed and settled individually and continuously throughout the day [RTGS Window]. Dhanlaxmi Bank customers can make payments to the beneficiary’s a/c in another bank and vice-a-versa.
  • Payee banks and their customers receive funds at any time immediately when the transaction has been executed so they are not exposed to any risk. It is a highly secured system using PKI and includes signing and encryption.
  • All Dhanlaxmi Bank branches are RTGS enabled. Our customers can avail of RTGS services to transfer funds to accounts of other banks, provided those bank branches are also RTGS enabled.

Fund Transfer Amount
The minimum amount for RTGS transactions is Rs. 2 Lakh.

RTGS Payments:

  • For transaction between Rs 2 lakhs and Rs 5 lakhs - Rs.25 per transaction plus service tax
  • For transactions above Rs 5 lakhs - Rs.50 per transaction plus service tax

National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT)

The National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) system is an electronic funds transfer system introduced by Reserve Bank of India to help banks transfer funds electronically from one customer account of a NEFT participant bank branch to another customer account of any other NEFT participant bank branch in India.

  • The NEFT there are 11 hourly batches through with the transactions messages are transmitted and settled between banks. The First NEFT Batch time is at 9 AM and last at 7 pm for week days and 1 pm for Saturdays.
  • Dhanlaxmi Bank has started live NEFT operations with all CBS branches that can perform NEFT operations. The customers of all Dhanlaxmi Bank branches can avail of NEFT services to transfer funds to accounts of other banks; provided those bank branches are also NEFT enabled.
  • NEFT is available for walk-in customers up to Rs.50,000.

Bank customers who intend to be the remitters of funds for credit of beneficiary accounts of any other bank shall have to provide the details as mentioned below:

  • Name of the beneficiary bank
  • Name of the branch* designated for fund transfer under RTGS/NEFT
  • The IFSC of the beneficiary bank’s branch
  • The type of account of the beneficiary
  • The account number of beneficiary
  • The name of the beneficiary

The remitter (customer) shall furnish the above details in the ‘ Prescribed Form’ duly signed to avoid repudiation later. The application shall be submitted along with his/her cheque/debit instruction for the amount to be transferred, plus the bank commission. The remitter shall be responsible for the accuracy of the particulars given in the Form.
